Still driving staples one at a time?

The Staple Wasp drives ground staples into erosion blanket, landscape fabric and drip line up to 4x faster - standing up.

No gas. No battery. Built in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.

The Staple Wasp ground staple gun - T-handle, red release lever and ground shoe.

You already know what the slow way costs

The blanket is the cheap part. Pinning it down is where the hours go.

Your crew is on their knees

Bent over, one staple at a time, all day. It's the part of the job nobody volunteers for.

Under-stapled blanket lifts

First hard rain and it's peeling. Then you're back on site doing the same job twice.

Labor is the whole number

Material costs what it costs. The hours are the part you can actually change.

13.5pounds - built for all-day use
50staples per clipped cartridge
4xfaster than manual stapling
2lengths - 42" standard, 37" hill gun

A staple gun for the ground

Six-inch staples come pre-loaded in clipped cartridges and drive straight into the ground from standing height. No bending, no bucket, no fumbling for the next one.

It's mechanical - nothing to charge, nothing to fuel, nothing to fail three hours from the shop. Two lengths: a 42" standard gun, and a 37" hill gun for slopes.

  • Erosion control blanket and matting
  • Landscape fabric and geotextile
  • Drip line and irrigation
  • Sod, netting and turf reinforcement

Work out what it saves you

Put in your hourly labor cost and the size of the job. It works out the hours, the material difference and what you actually save - your numbers, not ours.

Fully burdened - wages plus taxes, insurance and overhead. Prevailing-wage DOT work in Minnesota runs around $48.

Most jobs run about 6,000 staples an acre.

Questions we get

Do I have to buy your staples?

Yes. The cartridges are what make it fast - loose staples are the thing you're trying to get away from. We stock 1,000 up to 25,000 at a time, and every package ships with staples included.

Does it work in hard or dry ground?

It works in most soils. Heavily compacted Class 5 is the exception. On harder ground, use the jackhammer tapping method to set the staple.

What about slopes?

The 37" hill gun is built for it. Same tool, shorter shaft, easier to control working across a grade.

How much faster is it, really?

Up to 4x against hand-stapling. Rather than take our word for it, run your own crew's numbers through the calculator above.

What if something goes wrong with it?

One-year warranty on non-wear parts, and the gun is modular - when a wear part goes, you replace that part rather than the tool. We also run maintenance and repair service.

How many guns does a crew need?

Most crews running a blanket roller use three: two stitching the edges and one down the centre.

From crews using it

Two days of work finished in five hours. Their words, not ours.

We bought two Staple Wasps for a 5-acre project with slopes, swales and curved beds. What would normally take us 2 days was finished in just 5 hours. No sore backs, no buckets of bent staples. We’ve put 30,000+ staples through each gun with no issues. Buy one. It pays for itself.

J&J Landscaping

Yeah man, this thing is awesome!! 100 rolls of 900 square foot rolls - 94,500 square feet total installed - with 10,000 pins by 3 guys in 24 hours, on some major hill sides of a retention pond. I will definitely be buying another gun in the spring.

The LandCo Group

We just wrapped up a blanketing job and had the stapler work flawlessly all day. We love the product, and the service you guys provide is even better. I will definitely keep in touch if we need anything down the line.
